Take a photo of any grocery receipt and Grovy sends it to Anthropic's Claude AI to read the items and prices. The image is processed instantly and never stored — not by us, not anywhere. The whole thing takes about 10 seconds and adds your entire shopping trip automatically.
100%. Everything you enter in Grovy stays on your device only. We never see it, never store it on our servers, and never sell it. Check our Privacy Policy for the full details — it's written in plain English, not lawyer speak.
Try scanning in better lighting, and make sure the barcode fills most of the frame. If it still won't scan, you can always add items manually using the manual entry option. Some very local or store-brand products may not be in our database yet — email us the barcode and we'll look into it.
Go to Settings → Clear All Data inside the app. Since everything is stored locally on your device, that's all you need to do. You can also just delete the app — we have nothing on our end to delete.
Check that notifications are enabled for Grovy in your iPhone's Settings → Notifications → Grovy. Also make sure you've added some food items with expiry dates set — Lemmy can only remind you about things that exist! If it's still not working, email us.
Grovy Pro is coming soon! It'll unlock unlimited food items, advanced stats, extra Lemmy moods, and more. The core app is free and always will be. Stay tuned — Lemmy is working hard on it.

Scan your receipt first
After a grocery run, use the AI receipt scanner to add everything at once. It's way faster than manual entry.

Type produce names
For fruits and veggies, just type the name — Grovy will auto-suggest a shelf life and storage tip.

Keep notifications on
Lemmy's alerts are the whole point. They're funny, I promise. You'll actually want to read them.

Check Stats weekly
The Stats tab shows how much money you've saved. It's genuinely satisfying to watch that number grow.
